Bet it's still worth it...
You are beyond obsessed. Have the children eaten? Have you gone to work? Do you sleep?
@Whiskey G: Yes, yes it is. @Wow: Maybe I just have delicate lady fingers?
That's badass. Do you feel proud of them? I feel proud of the bruises all over my ass and arms from roller derby and if some of them weren't in risque places I'd show them off all the time! I think my friends are getting tired of me saying, "Look at my ass today! Look how many colours my bruises are!"
I had the same happen to me when I was trying to play guitar. I actually got blisters and quit. I'm a wimp. I've seen several other Nashville musicians with permanent indentations and callouses on their fingers. See, you're on the road to success!
Oh, Mandylin, well you came and you gave, but you scarred me I can't send you awayOh, Mandylin, well I played you till you really tahrred meand I need you todayOh, MandylinWith apologies to you know who.
@Twills: I'd feel prouder if they were callouses.@Eva: Blisters? Eek!@Susan: You must know the children used to sing that on the playground to torment me.*Rocks in corner*
Oh my god!!! You weren’t kidding!! I’m feeling horrified and impressed all in one confusing emotion.
You're so funny : )
@Vapid VIxen: The blog is called "You've got to be kidding me." I guess I should have added a subhead: "No, I'm totally serious!"@powdergirl: I'm glad someone appreciates my world view.
Damn! You've got some stick-to-it-ivness!!
Oh Mama, the Lucy sure is purdy. I'll bet you wear those mandoline lines with pride. (mando-lines? ba dum tsh.)
Try using some stuff called 'Finger ease' spray on the strings. It will help take the sting out of the strings.)
...and you haven't even read my other post yet. Heh-heh-heh.
Now that's a testament to dedication! Looking forward to the video blog of your newfound obsession.
@Amelia: It's only been a week. Let's check back in six months.@Kate: They're the new hip body modification.@The Last Santa: Never heard of it. Interesting!@La Piazza: I'll have to check it out.@Consciously Sedated: I'll wait until I'm decent.
